The Holland Clinic’s range of Food Protocols are designed to positively support our gut microbiome and significantly reduce inflammation: in the gastrointestinal tract and in turn, throughout all parts of the body. They specify the type and quantity of foods to eat and the frequency at which to consume them.
Instead of developing a one size fits all guide, at The Holland Clinic we understand that everyone is different. Each of us have different health concerns, different lifestyles, different goals, as well as different reactions to foods. This is why we have developed three versions of our guide to eating: a Wellness Food Protocol, a Treatment Food Protocol, and the Heal, Seal & Repair Program.
While the core of these protocols is essentially the same, the intensity and strictness of each program vary.
The Wellness Food Protocol is our most basic guide, aimed at those with minimal or no health concerns, and is flexible and the easiest model to follow.
The Treatment Food Protocol and the Heal, Seal & Repair Programme are more specific regarding the exact foods to eat. Their aim is to identify trigger foods that cause gastrointestinal issues and a range of health concerns, thus forming an individual list of “safe” foods for you to consume.
We recommend following the Treatment Food Protocol or the Heal, Seal & Repair Program if you suffer from any health concerns. The more debilitating your symptoms, especially if you have experienced them over a long period of time, the more we encourage you to opt for the Heal, Seal & Repair Program.
